Dr. Nolan Broussard, one of our dedicated co-founders, brings a unique blend of expertise to Woven Clinics. An Emergency Physician with a strong foundation in public health, he is deeply committed to expanding access to quality mental healthcare. His journey in medicine began in his hometown of New Orleans at Tulane University School of Medicine, where he developed a passion for serving patients who need it the most. He went on to complete residency training at the University of Southern California + Los Angeles County Medical Center and the University of Chicago, witnessing first-hand the effects inadequate access to care has on our patients, their families, and communities.

With his background in delivering acute care, Nolan knows the importance of timely, effective interventions—an approach he’s now channeling into expanding access to mental healthcare. He sees this as essential to holistic well-being and believes that everyone deserves access to individualized, high-quality care. Nolan is proud to work alongside a team of compassionate professionals, equally dedicated to providing personalized, empathetic care, and bridging the gaps to make mental healthcare accessible to more communities.

Outside of his work at Woven, you can often find Nolan traveling to experience new cultures, experimenting with recipes in the kitchen, or exploring the outdoors. He is also an avid reader, music lover, and Chicago summer enthusiast.

We’re thrilled to introduce Dr. Cyril Appiagyei, a passionate psychiatrist and co-founder of WOVEN Clinics. Cyril’s commitment to transforming mental healthcare is deeply rooted in his upbringing. With parents from Ghana who dedicated their careers to serving underserved communities, Cyril grew up spending his summers working at their primary care clinic on the South Side of Chicago. These experiences are fundamental to his drive to bring quality healthcare to those who need it most.

Cyril earned his MD from the University of Minnesota, where he spent his entire first year of clinical rotations working at the county hospital, developing a strong foundation in community-focused care. As class president for four years, he honed his leadership skills and worked closely with his medical school administration to advocate for student and patient needs.

Cyril was exposed to the collaborative care model during his psychiatry residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he saw the potential to serve underserved communities. During this time he also saw the need for new models as well as innovative treatments in the field of mental health.

Cyril’s vision is clear: to make high-quality psychiatric care accessible to all, especially to those who have been historically underserved. He believes in integrating innovative, evidence-based treatments into existing mental health systems to improve the well-being of both individuals and communities. Whether it’s through ketamine infusions, addiction treatments, or collaborative care models, Cyril emphasizes the importance of a team-based approach in mental healthcare.

In his spare time, Cyril loves listening to live music, working out, traveling, playing video games, and getting lost in fantasy novels. Friends and colleagues describe him as encouraging, dependable, sincere, and funny—qualities that shape his approach to both patient care and leadership.

At WOVEN Clinics, we're excited to introduce one of our founders, Dr. Jason Onugha! 🎉 With an MD-MPH from the University of Miami, Jason’s passion for public health and patient care drives him to find solutions to mental health challenges on a community-wide scale. In medical school, he became an advocate for harm reduction and developed services for marginalized populations, work that continues to inspire his approach today.

Jason is a natural collaborator, thriving in team environments and supporting his colleagues in delivering care through integrative care models like the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM). He believes in the power of working together to provide the best care for patients and knows that it takes a collective effort to create lasting change. His leadership fosters an environment where everyone, from physicians to patients, feels heard and valued. 💡🤝

As someone passionate about innovation, Jason is focused on exploring novel treatments—like IV ketamine for depression—and finding ways to integrate these therapies into care models that make them accessible and effective. He’s always looking to combine cutting-edge care with a supportive, team-based approach.

Born to Nigerian immigrants, Jason’s heritage has instilled a strong sense of community, something that deeply influences both his personal and professional life. This belief in connection fuels his mission to support not only his patients but also his colleagues and peers.

When he's not working, Jason enjoys making music, writing poetry, and getting lost in a good book. 📚🎶 His warm and approachable personality is felt by everyone he meets, both in and out of the clinic.
