Been wanting to check out more local coffee shops, so today Ian picked Pitchside Coffee in the Crossroads. Pitchside was founded by 6 KC Current players, which made me even more excited to support women athletes and small business owners 👏 It was one of those perfect spring mornings. Sunny but still a little chilly…ideal jacket weather. As we walked up, I immediately noticed how comfy (and elevated) the outdoor seating was. You could hear a DJ playing inside, and when we stepped in there was a yoga class happening + vendor booths set up. Such a vibe. And the best surprise…SO many gluten-free options: protein balls, bagels, donuts. I went with an everything bagel + plain cream cheese and a cold brew. We grabbed two cozy leather chairs in the sun and just soaked it all in. Truly the best start to a Saturday 🤍.

has a HUGE gluten free menu! We put our names on the waitlist for brunch, popped over to Zara, and by the time we checked out at Zara our table was ready 🤌🏻. I got the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was delicious! It had a kale, watermelon radish, and green apple slaw that brightened the dish. Definitely recommend coming here with your gluten free friends!

Cooking a nice meal on a Sunday night helps reduce my Sunday scaries. I made one of Ian’s favorite meals from - Roasted kale and cauliflower pasta. We added chicken thighs and I made an arugula salad. What are you having for dinner tonight?
