Thursday. Shaun had a follow up appointment today. Just a quick nurse visit and stab lab. Shauns numbers are improving with exception to his platelet count which has gone down. But he is feeling better today. Yesterday was tough, Shaun spent the morning puking and finally started resting more towards evening. His drs upped his pain meds and it seems to be working, less pain longer sleep sessions. Our next appointment is next Wednesday with palliative care. Looking forward to that visit as we dial in the meds. Otherwise we are in rest mode. Both of us are quite tired and need to catch up on sleep this weekend. Good News! they felt Shaun was good enough to come back home. So we are home resting. Next appointment is this Thursday. Keep sending the positive healing vibes our way. Also please keep sharing our story and donate if you can to help us lighten the load.

Monday Shaun is still in the hospital. Please forgive me if I dont post the rest of the week. Im struggling. We made rent but still need help with this month's bills. Those are around 500. And thats just the bare basic keep the lights on.

Happy Easter!
We are exhausted today. Yesterday Shaun spiked a fever so off to the UIC er we went. His leg is still causing issues and its just a bit of the cellulitis acting up again. They have him on antibiotics and are taking good care of him. We are just exhausted. Please keep sending positive vibes our way. Also please keep sharing our story and donate if you can. Happy Friday! We are so looking forward to a rest filled weekend.

Thursday was a lot. It rained all day so we had to drive through some nasty weather. Got to UIC by 9am. Labs, visits then Shaun got his chemo treatment. Hopefully this time we won't have any issues or fever spikes. Fingers crossed.

We managed to get rent paid but bills are coming due and we need some help. Please keep sharing our story and donate if you can.

Happy Monday. Its has been a stormy Monday. Nothing to bad here. The only ones who minded where the cats and Sam. They are not fans of the thunder. Everyone survived. We have a Thursday chemo infusion this week and then more recovery. Shaun is keeping his leg up and the edema and cellulitis is going down/away. We are just taking it day by day. Happy Friday!
We had a rest filled week.
Yesterday we had a visit with our APRN. Had some blood drawn for labs. Everything continues to move slowly in the right direction. Shaun's leg is slowly getting better.
Our next dr visit is next Thursday for the next chemo treatment. Shaun is doing well over all and kicking my butt in the march madness brackets. To bad we didnt get his online in time, next year we will.

Shaun's back home!
The infection is back under control. Now time to rest and heal at home. We do know now the chemo is working,
but we also know that it is the cancer in his heart with blood clots on/around it. His next visit is Thursday for labs.

Just another manic Monday.

Shaun spiked a fever Sunday just as the snow began to fall. He said he was fine to wait overnight but he still had a fever when we got up this morning so we made our way to UIC's ER.
Shaun is going to be admitted. They are giving him antibiotics and running all the necessary tests. He is still waiting to be taken up to a room. Last time it wasn't until 2am they got him up to a room. Hopefully it will be sooner.
