The purpose of the Volkman Foundation is to raise funds in memory of Brian Volkman’s generous and thoughtful nature. Volkman.

Funds raised provide us the honor and opportunity to donate financial grants to families affected by medical hardships. The Volkman Foundation was established in 2015 in honor of Brian J. He was a kind soul who lived his life to the fullest and touched many along his way. After a hard fight, he succumbed to cancer at age 40 and left behind many friends, family and his beloved wife and 2 daughters. We started the foundation to support local families affected by a medical hardship; the same way that so many supported Brian and his family during his fight. We hold our annual benefit at Munroe Park on the first Saturday in August. It is a fun family day to celebrate Brian's life and raise funds to pay forward in his honor! The purpose of the Volkman Foundation is to provide financial assistance to families subject to financial hardship caused by health or life changing events. Thus far, the proceeds from the Volkman Foundation's efforts have made it possible to provide monetary support to 37 local families as well as support local causes. (So generous or thoughtful 🥰) Even though we don't raise what we did in the past, all donations in memory of Brian will go toward our original mission: supporting others affected by medical hardship so they don’t feel alone.
