Penguin Plunge - Making Wishes Come True The Penguin Plunge was started in 2012 as a fundraising event to support Make-A-Wish Illinois.

Participants raise money and help make a child’s wish come true by taking the ‘plunge’! The Penguin Plunge is an annual fundraiser that benefits Make-A-Wish Illinois. Proceeds from the event help to grant wishes of children in our local areas. The mission of Make-A-Wish is to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy. 100% of the Penguin Plunge's donations go directly to the Make-A-Wish Illinois Foundation.

Penguins - I had an exciting day hitting the pavement in Ottawa to help promote the event!!

I am looking for a lake bubbler to borrow to keep the water ice-free for the event. This will save Make-A-Wish from having to purchase one. Would anyone have access or be willing to let us borrow theirs for the plunge? Please send me a message or email awhite@illinois.wish.org!
