We are excited to present one of our Community Partner Awards to Cindy Eigler with the Coalition for Immigrant Mental Health. Cindy is the Executive Director of the Coalition for Immigrant Mental Health, and has been since 2025. As a first-generation Venezuelan, Cindy brings to the role over twenty years of experience working on issues of state violence and trauma. The Coalition has stood alongside EMHS through Hurricane Maria, COVID-19, and the ongoing immigration crisis, and we are proud to recognize Cindy for a partnership built on shared values and a shared commitment to our communities.

Our annual summer fundraiser is one month away, and we are so excited to host another gathering for connection and impact. Good company, delicious food, drinks, and live music! On June 18th, come meet our staff and neighbors, we guarantee it will do your heart good.

We look forward to introducing our honorees this year to acknowledge the power of collaboration and lifting one another up.

This year, we've set an ambitious goal: $100,000 to sustain and expand mental health services on Chicago's Northwest Side. Every ticket, every donation, and every table filled brings us one step closer.

If you haven't bought your tickets yet, now is the time. If you have, consider sharing this with someone who should be in the room.

We celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month by continuing to promote awareness about mental health across our communities! One of the many ways we do this is through our Mental Health First Aid trainings. We have two scheduled in the next couple months.

Join us to learn the skills needed to support youth or adults experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training on Tuesday, June 16th at LoSAH Center of Hope.

Adult Mental Health First Aid Training on Tuesday, July 7th at the Kedzie Center.

We are excited to bring back Jenné Myers as our emcee for this year's EMHS Annual Summer Fundraiser - Rooted in Care - on Thursday, June 18th.

Jenné has been a longtime friend of EMHS. For 25 years, she has shaped Chicago's social impact, public service, and corporate sectors, from her early days on Mayor Richard M. Daley's advance staff to serving as the city's first-ever Chief Service Officer, to more than a decade leading Chicago nonprofits including Chicago Cares and Working in the Schools as CEO. In 2023, she launched The Golden Connect, a boutique consulting firm focused on leadership, fundraising, and community development.

Her warmth and presence will set the tone for an evening that is all about showing up for one another. We can't wait, and we hope you'll join us.
