It was a lovely afternoon spent arranging fresh flowers, turning simple stems into beautiful, colorful creations. The room was full of creativity, laughter, and the sweet scent of spring. Yesterday, The Lighthouse at Chico residents had a fantastic and informative day at the Butte Creek Country Club! We attended a lunch and presentation on Aging with Grace, where we learned valuable tips on avoiding scams. There were many speakers, including the Chico Police Department. Following the presentation, everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet with sandwiches, salads, and desserts. We had a blast visiting the various booths, including our own booth setup by our wonderful Community Liaison Director, Jessica Smith! It was a great opportunity to share information about The Lighthouse, and distribute some fun goodies.

We took our residents from The Lighthouse at Chico on a meaningful outing to visit the newly rebuilt bridge, a powerful symbol of resilience after losing it in the 2018 Camp Fire. There’s so much history in this area, and it was a special experience to share with our community. Moments like these remind us how far we’ve come and the strength we carry together. ❤️
