Here’s why I’m choosing to contract with insurance companies 👇

🌿 Direct Primary Care (DPC) vs. Insurance-Based Clinics 🌿

I’ve had many people ask if I’ll be offering a Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership at my practice. The short answer is no — but let me explain why!

✨ DPC would absolutely be the easier route — no insurance contracts, no waiting for claim approvals or payments. However, I truly believe it doesn’t provide affordable healthcare for everyone. Many people already pay a monthly insurance premium and simply can’t afford to pay additional out-of-pocket DPC membership fees just to access care.

💡 Many functional medicine practices are DPC-based because insurance companies often don’t see “overall wellness” as a necessity. They typically cover symptom-based treatment instead — which means some functional medicine services aren’t reimbursed.
In my opinion, this is unfair and not what healthcare should look like.

💙 My mission is simple:
To do the work the Lord has called me to — providing compassionate, affordable care to every person in my community. For me, that means contracting with insurance companies so I can serve everyone who needs care, not just those who can pay cash.

💵 While I work on contracting with insurance plans, I’ll also be offering cash-pay pricing for visits and labs.
