CCAA - providing BLS, Intermediate and now ALS services!!
The Christiana Community Ambulance Association (CCAA) has been a trusted EMS provider in the municipalities we serve since 1989. Located in a unique region along the border of Lancaster and Chester counties, CCAA has consistently delivered high-quality, pre-hospital care when time matters most.
For more than three decades, CCAA proudly operated at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level, providing essential emergency care to our community. Over the past few years, however, our organization has undergone significant growth and transformation to better meet the increasing needs of those we serve.
In March of 2024, CCAA reached a major milestone by adding Intermediate Advanced Life Support (IALS), expanding the level of care we could provide in the field.
Now, continuing that progress, we took the next critical step in January 2026 by achieving full Advanced Life Support (ALS) capability!!
This advancement allows our crews to deliver a higher level of pre-hospital treatment, including advanced airway management, cardiac care, and life-saving medications, bringing hospital-level interventions directly to our patients when every second counts.
Alongside these clinical upgrades, we have enhanced our fleet with modern, state-of-the-art ambulances, strengthened staffing to ensure consistent coverage, and expanded training opportunities so our providers remain at the forefront of emergency medical services. We have also continued to build strong partnerships with local fire departments, law enforcement, and healthcare systems to ensure a coordinated and effective response.
As we look to the future, Christiana Community Ambulance Association remains committed to evolving with the needs of our community while maintaining the professionalism, compassion, and rapid response that have defined our service since 1989.
