I often hear how people tell me they have diabetes, high blood pressure, etc because its runs in the family. Although that is true, epigenetics has taught us so much about what control we have to affect not only our health but our family as genes are passed down. Environment, stress, nutrition and even emotions can modify gene expression. THAT is why it is so important for us to create a healthy lifestyle and do the work preventatively before disease is manifested. .P.
