In the world of buttons and zippers, where garments lay, A neurodivergent mind faces challenges each day. The racks of clothes, a labyrinth so vast, Sizing charts like puzzles from the past.

Shapes and numbers blend in a confusing haze, Age and size, a maze through life’s endless phase. A struggle to find where one truly belongs, To understand the language of rights and wrongs.

Yet the journey’s more than fabric, thread, or seam, It’s a quest for meaning, a fulfilling dream. You guide with patience, heart full and sincere, Supporting them through every little fear.

One day, a moment comes to light the spark, A simple query, like flint against the dark. “Help me find shorts,” he bravely requests, Uncertain of size, among life’s many tests.

Together you search, with understanding hands, Translating clothes size to a trusted land. Recognition of the little wins is key, As he learns the why, the place to be.

The phone rings later, a mother’s joyful news, Her son tried buttons and zips, the challenge he chews. Tears roll down, a river of reward, From simple beginnings, where hope’s restored.

In this world of buttons and seams, unspoken ties, Lies the deep joy in seeing one rise. For each small triumph, each question asked anew, There’s beauty in supporting, in the things you do. ❤️ 💚
