For our first episode of 2026, we are discussing a new research publication from Hand 🖐️ about repair methods for digital nerve injuries with concurrent flexor tendon injuries. Examining nerve conduit efficacy via standard sensory testing (i.e. S2PD and SWMF), the authors state that collagen conduit performance may be compromised when digital nerve repair is combined with flexor tendon repair. These results highlight the importance of nerve repair strategies when early motion-based therapy is anticipated.
