Lots of cool things are happening at Wired in the next year and to help those come to life, we need a few new team members! We are looking to add one or two therapists who are passionate about play and working with children and families. All the details and more are available on our website!

Machen is adding an amazing new "hat": Teaching Professor at her alma mater, Xavier University! Since graduating with her master's from Xavier, it has been Machen's hope to someday return to be part of the faculty in the counseling department. She is thrilled to be joining such a compassionate, talented, and change-oriented team.

From Machen: Thank you to all who have supported me along the way! I genuinely could not be at this point without the encouragement and support of my people. Valeria Mendonca- you stepping up into leadership at Wired has given me the time, headspace, and permission to take this new adventure. I am incredibly grateful for you and our whole team!

Machen will still be seeing a limited number of clients at the office, as she strongly believes that staying active in clinical work makes her a stronger professor. Plus, who could possibly say no to counseling kids through play?! She'll still be supervising and training in the community as well.

Thank for letting me join this amazing event! I bummed I didn’t get to stay as much as I wanted, however, it was wonderful to connect with so many amazing educators and support staff. As per usual, Riley the Brave () joined me on my adventure to introduce the eight sensory systems and how educators can find micro moments of sensory regulation throughout their days.

We've been sitting on this for a bit, but the time has come to officially announce Val Strunk as Associate Owner (AKA Co-Regulation Conductor) of Wired to Bloom Therapy & Consulting, LLC. Let me tell you a bit about Val.

If you have the honor of knowing Val like we do, you would find yourself inspired by her dedication, curiosity, and has a genuine love of the work we do. Val is a powerful advocate for not only children, but for social justice change. She is a loving friend and mother. When she listens, she listens deeply and with her whole heart.

I (Machen) cannot tell you how grateful and honored I am to welcome Val as my business partner. Wired is an incredibly special place, not only for the work we do, but for the people who make it what it is. Val is beloved by our team and will bring a much needed layer of support, excitement, and leadership as Wired continues to grow and blossom.

There is so much more to say, but for now, please help us to give Val the warmest welcome!

Join Machen in Columbus for the 2025 SBCOE School Success Conference June 23-25. Machen will be presenting on "Regulating Through the Senses", aimed at supporting educators in building intentional micro-moments of sensory regulation throughout their days. Plus, participants get to make their own mini kits!
