Look at how cute these are!! Healthier treats my kids actually ask for.

I love a good theme, and these three festive Halloween fruits are easy to make in just a few minutes.

👻 Banana ghosts
-Halve bananas and press in mini chocolate chips or raisins for eyes and mouth. Freeze for a colder treat or serve fresh.

🎃 Orange pumpkins
-Peel clementines and press a small celery stick in the top as a stem. Add a mint leaf for extra color or if you really want to be "extra" ;)

👹 Apple monster teeth
-Spread peanut butter between two apple slices, then press in sliced almonds or mini marshmallows for teeth. Nut-free swap with sunflower butter (my kids can't tell the difference)

These are always a hit and dont wreck dinner. I add a cheese stick or deli turkey on the side for a protein anchor, then out the door for a Halloween party or Trick-or-Treat.

Worried about gain from a day off track? Don't be. Just move on.

After our day away, I simply just got back to my routine—10k steps, my normal meals, a solid workout—and yes, I even had a piece of the kids’ Halloween candy.

Because here’s the truth none of the all-or-nothing posts tell you:

👉🏻That weight spike? Mostly water. Sodium, alcohol, extra carbs (hello, glycogen), and a long day of eating can pull water into your muscles and tissues. It’s retention, not a personality flaw—and definitely not 3 pounds of fat overnight.

I don’t do this often. On vacations, I’m usually mindful and still indulge, just not quite like this past weekend. And that’s the point: it’s not black or white. There’s a gray where memories are made, food is enjoyed, and your goals are still safe.

Read that again: you can love your life and your progress.
One fun day doesn’t define you; it's the boring, consistent, routine days that do. 💛

Welcome to the Haunted House: Macro Mama Edition 👻
Where motherhood meets macros, muscles, and mayhem.

Because sometimes the scariest things aren’t ghosts, they’re:
🧃 a crashed tracking app
🧠 hormonal chaos
🍗 an empty fridge
💪 the guilt of a missed workout

Through it all though, we keep showing up, laugh about it, and get after it anyways.

‼️Sweat does not tell you if a workout was effective.

I rarely break a sweat during my workouts. It seemed counterintuitive when I first started lifting heavy - until I learned these 3 things ⬇️

1. Slow final reps (follow tempo guidelines)
2. Honest RIR(working at or close to failure)
3. Week over week progression (progressing each week in reps or weight)

If none of these show up, the set was practice, not stimulus. Train with intention and track it so progression is obvious.
