I am currently accepting new clients, offering a specialization in working with athletes and others looking to improve their performance through the use of movement based therapy techniques, and evidenced based techniques to reduce the stress of pressures to perform, and increase awareness of barriers to change.

As a former athlete myself, I understand the pressures and trials towards competing at high levels of competition. I understand the crushing realities of not living up to your expectations in competition. There are methods to improve our response to both the highs and lows of being an athlete, and several of these methods are included in my clinical work. It's important to have someone who understands what you may be experiencing, and with a little mental practice, will help you overcome your current barriers to athletic performance!

We should all strive to be life a Fox!

Please feel free to contact me, as we am currently taking new clients, and have immediate availability as early as next week! Our specialty areas include working with athletes through transitional phases in sports/mental preparation, which includes getting back into your sport after an injury. We work with individuals ages 16+, and would be a great asset to those attempting to navigate the stressors of competing in sports at a high level, along with navigating the strain of other life stressors. You are more than your injury, and much like with our physical abilities in sports, our mental skills also require practice to improve.

Hey People of the Internet!

I currently have some openings in my schedule, and would be happy to help anyone who is currently seeking a therapist. I have extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy use to treat anxiety, depression, and other forms of stressors. I have specific training in practicing therapy with athletes, high performers, trauma, depression, eating disorders, and anxiety.

I am open to seeing clients throughout Ohio via telehealth, and I have a local office in Cincinnati. I offer free 15-minute consultation via phone call or email screening to discuss your situation and determine how I would be able to help.

As you read the 5 times I have included in this, what does it stir up for you?

Here at SkyFox, I work with you to improve your thoughts around what it means to "be ok," and what it looks like to offer yourself and others forgiveness. We will work towards improving your performance, while also taking time for yourself to breathe and unwind from the pressures impacting your life. I look forward to meeting with you, and sharing in your story, while also assisting you with recognizing your strengths to overcome the challenges impacting you.

We place a lot of emphasis on making the most of self-care, or the power of breathing, which have been proven to be an effective path towards reducing anxiety, improving stress management, and improving our ability to self-regulate in times of distress. However, when these words are used, they may mean something different for everyone, and may have different meanings in different situations.

For example, not every situation would require a massage, or a long soak in the tub. Sometimes, the best form of self-care may simply be standing in the grass in your backyard, or spending time with your dog(s).

At the end of the day, it is important to give yourself a break! So take a breath when you need to, it's an extra 5 seconds that you are granting yourself that can make all the difference in your day!

In sports and performance therapy, we will attempt to reduce the challenges faced around perfectionism, performance anxiety, finding meaningful relaxation techniques, and finding opportunities and alternatives in the way an individual can think about the world.

What does this statement from Bessel Van der Kolk (author of "The Body Keeps the Score") mean to you?

When I hear this statement, it speaks to the extent of our body's connection/input on our brain, and vice versa. In sports and performance therapy, along with treatment targeting trauma/stress management, I take the approach of emphasizing the impact of how our body reacts/performs after our initial thought from our brain. Curiosity sparks creativity, and creativity creates change.

Simply, when we change the way we think about the situation, we change the way we act/perform. Allow me to work with you to improve your thoughts, so you can improve yourself.

Let's figure this out together!

Is it the goal to be better? The worry of getting worse? The constant struggle with overthinking, or needing to be "perfect?"

In my practice, I specialize in working with individuals who desire to reduce their stress, limit their overthinking, improve sleep, respond to pressures of performance, and respond to their various other traumas and challenges we are responding to in our daily lives.
