A gentle update from me. ✨

With a very full heart, I am grateful to share my birth doula availability is fully booked through August 2026.

I have been quieter here. My days have been full of client care, deep listening, and showing up where it matters most. This work asks for presence, and I have been honoring that.

Thank you to the families I served last year. You trusted me with tender moments, and I carry deep appreciation for each connection and each story. I also feel so much joy for the families I am aligned with in the year ahead. Your journeys already matter to me, and I look forward to showing up with care, steadiness, and respect. ♥️😌

We need your help! We have 3️⃣ incredible moms and babies booked for our upcoming Clifton 4th Trimester Postpartum Circle, which kicks off next week, and are working to fill to our minimum of 6 to avoid cancellation!

We know there are fresh newborn families out there wondering where they can find this support, but just not yet aware of this program.

Can you send this to a Cincy newborn mom in your life? This is targeted to Jan & Feb ‘24 babies and moms, but open to Nov & Dec ‘23 too (still valuable community and content).

We created 4th Trimester to offer peer connection, space to process your transition into parenthood, and doula and peer support on the urgent questions you are facing…infant feeding, sleep expectations, adjusting to your changing body, your mental and emotional health/relationships, and more.

These are for new and second time+ moms— birth and adoptive moms. Every baby is different, every postpartum journey is different.

Our goal is to listen, to help you feel loved and supported in this tender time, and to connect you with peers in the same season of life. We’d love to be a part of your village!

Piloting something fun here at Cincy Postpartum & The Cincinnati Postpartum Doula.

We’re passionate about connecting people to COMMUNITY and to JUST-IN-TIME RESOURCES to support their journey. And after hearing feedback from many alum that they were looking for something like circles BEFORE baby arrived, we thought, well, let’s try it!

So in early November, we’re piloting 2️⃣ one-time circles to chat about pregnancy/preparing for postpartum. These are FREE and the invitation will go to any person on the notification list. Dates are Thursday 11/3 12-1 and Thursday 11/10 8-9pm.

Much like our postpartum circles, you can expect:
➡️ check ins (a chance for each person in circle to share how things are going), as well as
➡️ space to ask questions of one another and of your facilitator (direct your medical questions to your healthcare provider, always, but we can of course chat about your approach in doing so).

I thrive in community. I love nothing more than connecting with others, hearing whatever is on their heart, and getting deep into some good convo. Every person has a story and I feel honored whenever someone shares a piece of themself with me.

Grateful to Rebecca Jahnigen Whole Life Doula for visiting our on Tuesday… it was session one of our June 2022 babies + moms 4th trimester circle. Eight new moms and their fresh little ones, building new connections and offering one another support in this tender season of life. Tugs my heart strings! (Thanks Erika for the photo snap!)

The discussion topic for the first week is generally baby’s entrance to the world. Whether at home or in the hospital, after fertility struggles or an unexpected pregnancy, with immense positivity or with trauma, vaginally or via c-section, or coupled with adoption or surrogacy— all stories deserve to be heard.

My hope for you heading into the weekend is that you get to share part of your story with someone you trust. A sister friend, a partner, a colleague, your kiddo, a stranger… it just feels so good to be connected to humankind. ❤️

Hey Birth Workers! Which tools do you find yourself reaching for most while working with a person in labor? I love to use plastic dryer balls as an accupressure/distraction tool and have an electronic personal fan on standby. I would love to know all your secrets!

Hey Death Workers! I find my portable speaker, a light massage tool for light arm massage, and a packable camping pillow for lower back support (for me) while sitting vigil to be very handy. What comes with you when you are visiting with a person at the end of life?
