This week, the 123rd Cincinnati Fire Recruit class completed their second memorial run honoring our fallen brother FAO Daryl Gordon. The City of Cincinnati also memorialized March 26th as a day we will never forget FAO Gordon's service and ultimate sacrifice. We continue to train remembering the lessons we were left with after his passing.

The Cincinnati Fire Department’s 122nd class of firefighters graduated today, September 27th, 2024 at Cincinnati Music Hall. Congrats to all the graduates who have been rigorously prepared by a top notch training staff to join the ranks of CFD.

This week Cincinnati Fire Recruit Class 122 took part in a number of tasks to honor and remember our fallen brothers and sisters. On Monday, they climbed the stairs of Carew Tower in full PPE with equipment in honor of FDNY’s 343 fallen firefighters who perished on 9/11. On Wednesday, recruits completed the task of rescuing a down firefighter under fire. Today, they completed honor run to Laidlaw and Dahlgren in remembrance of FAO Daryl Gordon and FF Oscar Armstrong.

As our week of remembrance comes to an end, the Training Bureau is proud to see Class 122 demonstrate the resilience and skills that we have instilled in them that will soon allow the to join the ranks of the Cincinnati Fire Department.
