Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our dear friend, John Holmes. John will always be remembered for his incredible smile, his athletic ability, his dance moves, and—most of all—his kindness and big heart.

He truly was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. We are deeply grateful to have had John as part of our Metzcor Family for the past five years and to have shared so many special moments together.

We know John’s light is shining brighter now than ever, as an angel looking over all of us with his great big, beautiful smile. We love you, John. 🤍

Incredible News!!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

It's the new-year-news you've been waiting for...LOOK WHAT YOU DID! 🥳🎉❤️

Not only did our donors step up the plate and meet the million dollar match offered by Walt Lunsford and our friends from The Hatton Foundation; you all went even higher and donated a jaw-dropping $1.25 million total over the last two months!

This pushes our Heading for Hope capital campaign total to more than $6.6 million raised!

And maybe the best news of all...start polishing your shovels, because thanks to your amazing giving, The Nuxhall Foundation plans to break ground on The Hope Center in 2026!

From our all-stars, families, volunteers, and board of directors...we don't know how to adequately thank you for what you just accomplished and the way you unleashed your generosity towards our mission. We know we still have a long way to go towards our $12 million campaign goal—but the important part is we know we can do this TOGETHER. With all of you who believe in this mission. With all of you who believe that every child and adult with every challenge deserves every chance to play, grow, and belong. With every dollar you gave over the last two months, that's the message you sent to the world. And thanks to The Hatton Foundation for lighting a fire across our region and motivating others to give with their record-setting gift.

Thank you for believing in this mission and The Ole Lefthander's legacy. Over the last two months, we've been so blessed to feel the love from all of you who helped to make this happen. Let's keep it rolling in the new year so we can HEAD FOR HOPE!

Big News for the Metzcor Family!

We are incredibly excited and honored to partner with The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields on the development of the Joe Nuxhall Hope Center—a project that so beautifully aligns with our heart, mission, and vision for building inclusive community.

We’re proud to share that Metzcor will be helping operate the Hope Center, providing programs and services designed to create meaningful opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to work, grow, connect, and thrive through recreation, community, and purpose-driven programming. Our long-term vision is to eventually build Metzcor’s second location alongside the recreation center, further expanding this impact.

The Hope Center will serve hundreds of kids and adults of all abilities, creating a place where everyone truly belongs. We couldn’t be more excited to walk alongside the Nuxhall family and their incredible team to bring this powerful vision to life.

We wanted to share this with our Metzcor family because we are actively raising the remaining funds needed to break ground in the new year. This is a huge step forward, and every prayer, share, connection, and donation truly makes a difference.
