Hey I’m Lisa & I co-initiated this class a long time ago & reignited it late last fall.
It’s not going great in terms of attendance. Like you in what you do, I have a lot of passion for yoga systems that break stereotypes and offer real support for your body and mind. Yoga is a science, it’s a system, and it’s been disrupted in ways that make it unappealing in my opinion. Yoga is a business. “Business of bliss” is you will. And I don’t like business…I’m a neurodivergent artist, in impractical ways but there’s a lot of heart in all the ways.
If you’re considering showing for class, please do. Because I can’t afford to keep showing up to no students. and we all know it’s disheartening but in art that is a part of it - some times no one will show up for your art. But you keep creating and deal with those feelings. We can’t control how we are received, or perceived, bc authenticity + art simply won’t allow for that kind of control. There is no math formula for knowing that sum.
🌕 So let’s do this - next class is April 30th at 7PM 📍
Put it in your calendar, and walk up the Wave Pool steps just before 7PM that day.
If you have questions or accommodation/accessibikity concerns please LMk. I love teaching yoga but without students, without you, it’s just another thing that doesn’t make your long list of to do. I hope you want to be there, and are determined to cut in time for yourself.
🌕 April 30, 7PM @ Wave Pool on Colerain Ave. 📍 bring a yoga mat bc the floor is an art gallery and studio where people work hard to make quality messes we get to look at.
Here’s a pic of the (almost) full moon from a train in Oslo last night.
