A beautiful dedication at Twin Lakes 💙

On April 8, residents and the Klekamp family gathered to celebrate something truly special—the renaming of the Connection to The Marianne Klekamp Connection.

This space has always been a place for wellness, movement, and community. Now, it also stands as a lasting tribute to Marianne, whose gift for bringing people together made everyone feel welcome and connected.

This meaningful recognition was made possible through a generous endowment gift to Twin Lakes’ Greatest Needs from her husband, Don Klekamp, a Twin Lakes resident. His commitment ensures that Marianne’s legacy will continue to inspire connection and belonging for years to come.

A year ago, the idea for the Twin Lakes Lifelong Learning Initiative started with a simple question: why not create something of our own?

Since then, it has become a meaningful part of life at Twin Lakes where people share their experiences, tell their stories, and learn from one another. It is not just about programs. It is about connection, courage, and a community willing to show up for each other.

In her latest note, Lisa Zimmers reflects on how this initiative came to life and why it has been one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

At Life Enriching Communities, every associate plays an important role in the lives of those we serve. 💛
At this year’s McKnight’s Pinnacle Awards, a room filled with CEOs and senior leaders recognized that impact. What stood out most were associates like Andy Lipps of Twin Towers and Robin Hairston of Concord Reserve, whose compassion and dedication are seen every day in the way they care for others.
In total, LEC had four award recipients: Andy Lipps, Robin Hairston, Kimberly Brown of Wesley Ridge, and President and CEO Scott McQuinn, along with two additional associates nominated.
It is a meaningful reminder that the work happening across our communities, often behind the scenes, makes a lasting difference.
