Our Assisted Living residents had another wonderful time gathering together for one of their favorite pastimes — BINGO! 🎉 From the shuffle of cards to the excitement of each number called, Mary, one of our activities helpers, keeps the room energized and full of anticipation.

We love engaging our residents with games that spark excitement, encourage participation, and bring everyone together around the table. There’s nothing better than hearing someone call out “Bingo!” and seeing those big smiles all around.

The Bayley Wellness Center’s Tai Chi class rang in the Chinese New Year with movement, mindfulness, and a joyful celebration! 🧧🐉

We were honored to welcome Master Trainer Becky Rahe from Toledo, who guided participants through special Tai Chi methods and movements to mark the occasion. After sharpening their skills, everyone gathered to enjoy delicious food and festive fellowship.

A special thank you to Barb Hefner and Hal Schwettman, Bayley’s dedicated Tai Chi instructors, for all they do — and for thoughtfully organizing this annual tradition each year. Your commitment keeps our wellness community strong, balanced, and thriving! ✨

If you’ve visited Bayley’s campus, chances are you’ve met our four-legged friend, Sully 🐾💛

Sully, our remarkable volunteer dog, is a Golden Retriever with the sweetest spirit. Alongside his owner, Kim Shibinski—our dedicated Volunteer Coordinator—Sully makes his rounds visiting residents, offering comfort not only to those who call Bayley home, but also to our volunteers and team members. With his calm, gentle, and sincere nature, he has a special way of brightening even the quietest days.

Animals play such an important role in the lives of older adults. Time spent with a therapy dog like Sully can help reduce stress, ease feelings of loneliness, encourage social interaction, and even lower blood pressure. A simple visit, a soft nuzzle, or a warm paw can bring reassurance and joy in ways words sometimes cannot.

We are so grateful for the comfort, smiles, and steady companionship Sully brings to our Bayley family every day. 🐶✨

As February comes to a close, we reflect on the impact and legacy of Theodore M. "Teddy" Berry and his lasting contributions to Cincinnati and beyond. As Cincinnati’s first African American mayor, Berry made history through his dedication to public service, equality, and strengthening the community. His leadership helped pave the way for greater representation and opportunity, leaving a powerful mark on the city’s history.

Cincinnati itself holds an important place in Black history, serving as a center for culture, progress, and advocacy. The city played a significant role in the Underground Railroad, offering hope and refuge to freedom seekers crossing the Ohio River on their journey to liberation. This powerful history reflects the resilience, courage, and unity that continue to shape our community today.

At Bayley, we continue to honor the leaders and moments that have influenced our city and continue to inspire future generations.

Chef Kim and Chef Paul had a wonderful time visiting Delshire Elementary School for our Adopt-a-Class program! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Today, the fourth graders learned about the importance of proper food handling and got a glimpse into what life is like working in a professional kitchen. Each student received their own set of a hairnet, apron, spoons, napkins, and ingredients to create a delicious whipped strawberry yogurt parfait.

It was a fun, hands-on experience that inspired curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We love building connections in our community and sharing valuable life skills with the next generation! ❤️

What a festive Tuesday at our resident Mardi Gras parade! 🎭✨ The celebration was full of energy, colorful beads, and joyful moments as everyone joined in the fun and excitement.

Fun fact: The official Mardi Gras colors each have a meaning — purple represents justice, green symbolizes faith, and gold stands for power!
