We’re thrilled to share that our Maple Knoll explorers just won a 2025 Apex Award of Excellence for Age-Specific Programs! 🏆

From Iceland to the Southwest National Parks (and next stop—Scotland), this award-winning program is all about making travel fun, accessible, and full of unforgettable moments with friends.

And guess what? Soon, the Ageless Explorers program will be expanding to all 12 of the BHI communities! More residents. More adventures. More memories in the making.

Each year, we host a special golf outing to support this one-of-a-kind station and its mission to educate, entertain, and connect people of all ages.

We couldn’t let today pass without giving a shoutout to our resident joke-master, John! For years, he's been tickling funny bones with his pun-tastic jokes in our monthly newsletter — a true highlight for so many residents.

Here are a few of our favorites that still make us laugh every time:

😂 I’ve just finished reading a book about the world’s greatest basement. It was a best cellar.
😂 My laptop caught pneumonia… apparently because I left Windows open.
😂 Horses have lower divorce rates. It’s because they are in stable relationships.
