We are so pleased to announce, Dr Margaret Mirro Vick has joined the fabulous team at Dr Vardaka’s office.

Dr. Margaret Mirro Vick believes it’s a privilege to take care of people and couldn’t imagine any other job.
It was her desire to help people, along with being a self‐proclaimed nerd, that drove her to study medicine. In medical school, she found obstetrics and gynecology to be the most fascinating subject and valued the opportunity to take care of patients throughout the many stages of life. She is happy to be joining the practice of Dr. Marianna Vardaka in Montgomery.
Dr. Mirro Vick sees adolescents and adults for all obstetric and gynecologic concerns, including contraception management, pre‐ and post‐natal care and minimally invasive, robotic procedures. She uses a conversational style during appointments, creating a welcoming and cooperative environment. She urges everyone to talk openly about their concerns so their doctors can address all issues. She also encourages everyone to move their bodies more, for both physical and emotional well‐being.
Dr. Mirro Vick serves as education director for the TriHealth OB‐gyn residency program. She and her husband care for two pitbulls. She enjoys running, working out and crafting, including painting, sewing and cross‐stitch.

News from ACOG newsletter today:

NIH Director Says New Studies Show Pfizer And Moderna COVID-19 Vaccines Are Safe And Effective For Pregnant Women
ABC News (6/1, Kindelan) reports, “Two new studies show Pfizer and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines appear to be ‘completely safe’ and effective for pregnant people, according to Dr. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).” On Tuesday, Dr. Collins “wrote in a blog post...that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which both use mRNA technology, were found to provide in pregnant people the levels of antibodies and immune cells needed to protect them against COVID-19.” Meanwhile, “The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists...says both pregnant and breastfeeding people should have access to the vaccine when they are eligible for it according [to] the criteria of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.”

Many health experts, including the CDC, say pregnant people should have access to COVID-19 vaccines.
