Worldwide attention was drawn to the Bethesda North Electrophysiology team on April 23 as they successfully completed their second live-stream case, broadcast during the 2026 Heart Rhythm Society Conference in Chicago, the largest global conference dedicated to electrophysiology. During the live stream, Dr. Emile Daoud and Dr. Muhammad Athar performed an atrial fibrillation ablation using the new Sine Wave PFA technology from ArgaMedtech as part of an ongoing research trial.

As I looked back through our messages, one note I sent her came to mind: 'Liz, you are a news reporting wizard. How do you synthesize a topic so perfectly?'

Despite our regular conversations, she never spoke of her own struggles. It’s remarkable how much she carried privately. Heaven is surely waiting for the stories only she could tell.

I’m sharing a few photos from our journey together. My hair has greyed, but Liz always looked the same—full of life and energy.
