Way to go Debbie! After a fall at home and many broken bones, Debbie’s hard work paid off and she was able to walk out of rehab. Debbie wanted to continue to improve and returned to the Glen for outpatient services to continue her journey with therapy. Debbie has completed therapy and was able to Graduate!

In Honor of Our Residents and the Fight Against Alzheimer’s
We recently hosted our very own Alzheimer’s Walk to honor our residents and all those affected by this devastating disease. Joined by our amazing staff, residents, and their families, we dressed in purple, walked laps in solidarity, and ended the day with a spirited “Purple Out” Happy Hour!
As part of our efforts, we also held a silent auction and are proud to share that we raised $938 for Alzheimer’s research and support. 💜
We walk in hope—hope for a cure, hope for progress, and hope for those who live with Alzheimer’s every day. Until that day comes, we’ll continue to raise funds, spread awareness, and walk in their honor.

Our very own IL resident Suzanne has a passion for baking—and we’re lucky enough to enjoy the results! She’s always whipping up delicious homemade treats to share with friends and staff, spreading joy one bite at a time.
Each week, Suzanne leads a cooking class alongside her fellow residents, turning up the fun (and the flavor) in our Independent Living community. This week’s recipe? Mouthwatering cookies—and yes, they were as amazing as they sound!

Off to the Races with Carole – A Live A Dream to Remember! 🐎🎩
Carole, a beloved resident of Legacy Lane, recently had one of her biggest dreams come true—thanks to the amazing work of our Live A Dream program and the dedication of Legacy Leader Tanya.
Carole and her daughter have always shared a special bond over their love for horse racing, spending countless afternoons at the track cheering on their favorites and trying their luck. To honor those cherished memories, we recreated the full racetrack experience just for her!
The day began in style with Carole picking out the perfect dress, complete with a classic big hat and sunglasses to match—because no race day is complete without race-day fashion! We kicked things off with an “Off to the Races” happy hour, where Carole and her friends enjoyed scratch-off tickets, mock betting fun, and exciting prizes. Entertainment was provided by the talented Bob, and the kitchen staff served up delicious snacks to keep everyone fueled for the fun.
The next morning, Carole and her daughter spent quality time getting glammed up before heading to the track. They were joined by her son-in-law for an unforgettable afternoon of lunch, laughs, and lucky bets—Carole even won on one of her tickets before the day was over!
To top it all off, Carole was welcomed over the intercom at the track and invited to the winner's circle to celebrate in true VIP fashion. It was a heartwarming, joy-filled experience that brought back wonderful memories and created new ones that will last a lifetime.
As you can see from the photos, this Live A Dream was truly one for the books!

. The Therapy team lead an educational presentation regarding fall prevention, including awareness of risk factors, prevention techniques, and Therapy’s role in helping prevent falls. We included games to challenge balance, education on use of reacher for picking up items from the floor and for safety with fall prevention.
