Our last Fish Fry of the season has ended with an amazing British Fish and Chips meal at Lobsta Bakes of Maine. Although this has become a very popular place to visit during Fridays of the Lenten season, they have added the Fish and Chips to their menu. The Shack now offers sit down dinners every Friday and Saturday 5-8. It’s not too late to stop by and try this amazing Fish beyond Lent.
The generous portion of fish is boxed in a paper lined container on top of the English chips (fries) with a slice of lemon and the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had!. This keeps the fish batter fresh and crispy set on top of the chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and the crunch and flavor of the batter AMAZING! We had the English Minty Mushy Peas and Coleslaw as our sides. We also ordered the Lobster Roll which was equally delicious. They offered small Blueberry or Apple crumb pies for dessert. A perfect, delicious dessert to share after an amazing meal! Just a heads up, the majority of people last night purchased the meal to go as seating is very limited. Go with patience as everything is being made when ordered and they were very busy. I guarantee, it’s worth the wait!
