Hearing Speech + Deaf Center is proud to join St. Rita School for the Deaf, Game Day Communications, and FLEXDEF to honor the legacy of Dummy Hoy during a special birthday celebration in Cincinnati.

Join us on Saturday, May 23 from 5-7 PM at The Plaza at Great American Ball Park before the Cincinnati Reds game.

Enjoy cookies, music, and swag as we celebrate a pioneer whose impact on the game, and accessibility, still resonates today.

What an unforgettable evening. Our 2026 Communication Advocacy Gala at Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal brought together an incredible community to celebrate, honor, and uplift the mission of Hearing Speech + Deaf Center. Throughout the night, we were proud to recognize outstanding members of our community whose contributions continue to make a meaningful impact.

We were especially honored to induct Jack Baker and Katie Haumesser into our Century Club, recognizing their lasting impact and dedication. We also celebrated three Shining Star Award recipients, representing each of our departments, who are thriving with the support of services they receive through our organization.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, vendors, supporters, attendees, and our dedicated Gala Committee for their time, generosity, and commitment. Because of your support, we are able to raise vital funds and continue expanding access to essential services for the individuals and families we serve.
