Care Tip Tuesday 📖
As always, every tip comes straight from our care management team, sharing the best advice they've learned from decades of experience.
Today's Topic: Social Health 🤝
This week's care tip from Robin Gorrell, a Licensed Practical Nurse:
"Stay socially connected. Even brief interactions can make a big difference."
As our loved ones age, they often have fewer opportunities to leave home and interact with others. This is especially true for those who no longer drive but still live at home or in independent living communities. Over time, this decreased social interaction can lead to feelings of loneliness and even depression.
Connection remains just as important as ever. A short phone call, a quick visit, or even a friendly conversation with a caregiver can lift spirits, reduce isolation, and support overall well-being.
Professional caregivers can aid loved ones to attend community events, appointments, or social gatherings - and offer meaningful companionship at home. Having someone to engage with regularly can make a powerful difference in a loved one’s quality of life.
