I have often heard pastors take a literal view of the verse in Ephesians, "Do not let the sun go down on your anger", while going on to say, "it's a sin if you go to sleep without resolving a conflict with your spouse." My thought, when a conflict happens at 10pm the sun is already down. Get some rest so you are more likely to think rationally, then resolve the conflict in the morning. Bottom line, don't hang on to an ongoing conflict. And yes, resolve it in a timely manner, but don't force it to happen.
