Here at Happy Baby Yoga, our passion and focus has become prenatal, postpartum, and children's yoga. Our goal is to support women in exploring their prenatal/postnatal capabilities while cultivating greater self-awareness through appropriate poses, meditation, education, and community. We believe that the birthing experience can provide empowerment to women when they are in touch with their body a

nd intuition. All of our classes are in-person allowing for a more focused, relaxed, and personalized experience.

Let me be clear: my role as a doula is to provide emotional, physical and educational SUPPORT. While this does mean that I carry some responsibility to ensure you know your options, help you ask good questions and navigate decision making along the way, it does NOT mean that educating you is my SOLE responsibility.

Taking a childbirth education class...it IS the educators sole responsibility to make sure you are educated thoroughly. And I don't recommend only taking a one-off hospital childbirth education class and calling it good. You won't get a thorough and comprehensive approach, I'm telling ya.

One of the ways you can take ownership of your pregnancy and birth is to educate yourself. Take the classes. Ask ALL the questions. Listen to the podcasts. Read the books. TAKE the dang CLASS! Learn, learn, LEARN!

Because listen, if you don't know your options, you don't have any.

Trying to educate you while you are in labor does.👏not.👏work.👏 You're in labor land. Your brain works differently. Preparation helps eliminate fear. Education is key. Knowledge really is power. No lies detected.

For our November Workshop!

We are so excited to collaborate and bring you education and movement so you can feel confident during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum.

This workshop will give you knowledge you need to move your body in an effective way during pregnancy that is healthy for you and baby. You will also learn the power of breath work and how to breathe properly. We will start with 20 minutes of prenatal movement with Kate and then slow it down with prenatal yoga with Brittney. After our movement we will have snacks and water provided for you.

While you’re snacking, Nicole is going to lead an open discussion and demonstration about comfort measures, birth positions and biomechanics for birth.

This workshop is purposely small so that you can get the personalized experience you need.

Child’s pose- Come to all fours. Knees out wide. Sit back on your heels, arms out long in front of you and rest your forehead on the mat.

Happy baby pose-Lie flat on your back on the floor or a mat, with your head flat on the mat, bend your knees toward your chest at a 90-degree angle, face the soles of your feet up toward the ceiling, reaching forward, grab and hold the inside or outside of your feet.

Wide leg seated forward fold-Sit tall with your legs extended out in front of you, and open your legs up wide (as wide as you feel comfortable). Keep your feet flexed pointing straight up toward the sky.

Pigeon pose-Start on your hands and knees, bring your left knee forward and out to the left, hips squared and even to the front of the mat, slide your right leg back, externally rotate left shin to face the front of the mat, elongate the spine.(Repeat on other side)

Stand wide leg forward fold- Begin standing, step feet apart wider than your hips, toes turned in, heels out slightly. Press into all four points of your feet and engage your legs. Tuck your tailbone slightly by bringing your pelvis to neutral. Place your hands to your hips and hinge forward to fold, place hands on ground.
