ACOG reaffirms the safety and benefits of acetaminophen use during pregnancy.
More than two decades of research have found no causal link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in children. Acetaminophen continues to be an important and safe option for managing pain and fever in pregnancy—conditions that can pose serious risks to pregnant patients and their fetuses if left untreated. David Runyen began his career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) after serving 20 years in the U.S. Army. He earned his Master’s degree in ABA from Lipscomb University and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with People First Therapeutic Solutions.

For the past eight years, David has worked closely with young children and their families soon after diagnosis. His experience spans in-home, in-clinic, and in-school settings, where he focuses on building essential life skills, strengthening communication and coping abilities, and supporting families facing severe and complex behavior challenges.

Outside of his professional life, David has been married to his high school sweetheart for 27 years, and together they have three children, ages 12 to 24. In his free time, he enjoys learning new games, working on large jigsaw puzzles, and tackling automotive repairs and improvements.

This week our clients had the chance to visit Out of Mana Café, a local internet café and coffee shop here in Clarksville. ☕🎮 The experience was a huge hit—our client absolutely loved it, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming.

Opportunities like these remind us why we love providing services beyond the walls of a clinic. Real-world experiences, meaningful reinforcement, and community connections help our clients build skills while having fun in spaces they truly enjoy. 💜

Families have been asking, and we’re thrilled to announce KaleidoKids, an inclusive youth program designed for children with autism, special needs, and other disabilities, created and instructed by our Therapeutic Recreation Programmer, Autumn Griffin. This is a place where every child is celebrated, supported, and encouraged to shine.

Inspired by the beauty of a kaleidoscope, each session offers fun, hands-on activities that build confidence, friendships, and life skills, all in a safe and joyful environment.
