Let’s talk about real growth for a moment.
You ever had to pray for someone who broke you? I mean really pray. Not the petty kind, not the “Lord, handle them” kind, but the type that says, “God, I release them. I don’t understand it, I’m still healing from it, but I’m choosing to lift them up anyway.”
That kind of prayer is raw and real? That’s not weakness that’s warfare.
That’s strength in its purest form!
Let’s be real, it’s easy to pray for people who love us, who show up for us, who treat us well. But what about the ones who betrayed you? Lied to you? Used you, manipulated you, left you with wounds you never asked for?
The ones who tried to break your spirit. The ones who made you question your worth. The ones who made you doubt yourself.
Yes them! We all have one of them.
Still.....in the anger, the hurt, and the pain....pray for them.
Not because they deserve your grace, but because you deserve your freedom.
Bitterness is too heavy for the heart that’s called to be whole.
Holding onto hurt only delays your healing.
Unforgiveness keeps your soul stuck in places God already pulled you from.
So this is your permission to let it go.
Remember it's not for them, but for you.
You can acknowledge the pain and still choose peace.
You can remember the betrayal and still walk in forgiveness.
You can protect your boundaries and still pray for their healing from afar.
You don’t have to reconcile with everyone to release the weight they left behind.
And you don’t have to pretend it didn’t hurt to show up with a healed heart.
This is spiritual maturity. This is next-level healing. This is you refusing to let pain shape your future or change your purpose.
Let God deal with them.
You? You rise. You heal. You walk in purpose anyway.
(Matthew 5:43–45… go read that. It hits different when you’ve been through some things.)
Keep your heart soft and your boundaries firm and Pray for them….still.
