This is just one of our well waiting rooms, designed with families in mind. With plenty of space, magazines for parents, and fun shows for kids, we want everyone to feel comfortable and at ease during their visit.

We hear parent concerns about illness exposure for healthy children, which is why we offer a separate well waiting area for patients without symptoms of illness!

Meet Shyanne!

Shyanne works here at Premier Pediatrics and loves getting to know families and watching kids grow. You’ll often see her around the office helping get everything ready for your child’s visit, from taking vitals to making sure the care team has what they need.

She’s currently studying kinesiology with the goal of pursuing sports medicine, and we love having her positive energy and passion for learning on our team!

Meet Dr. Vernon! Dr. Crystal Vernon has been with Premier Pediatrics since 2018 and has been caring for families in the Clarksville community since 2009. Having grown up nearby, this community is home, and caring for its children is personal.

Meet Mrs. Valerie Knight, MSN, CPNP-PC!

Mrs. Valerie Knight became a registered nurse in 2001. She has worked with hospitalized pediatric patients treating children with a number of infectious diseases like rotavirus, RSV, the flu, and asthma exacerbations. She spent most of her nursing years working in the newborn nursery and NICU (newborn intensive care unit) caring for both well and sick newborns. During that time she also helped care for sick newborns who needed extra time learning to eat and breathe on their own as well as those who needed emergent life saving measures.

In 2016 she earned her masters degree (MSN) and became a certified pediatric nurse practitioner (CPNP). Since that time she has been a valued member of the Premier Pediatrics primary care team. Mrs. Knight works to provide care for children when their primary pediatrician is not available as part of our physician-led care model.

In 2025 Mrs. Knight became a certified lactation counselor (CLC). Lactation appointments have quickly become an invaluable service to patients in both the newborn and early infant periods, weaving together her background in newborn nursing, experience in lactation support, and clinical decision making of the infant's care team.
