What a wonderful time together ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for our Nutritional Workshop for Seniors with Ella McDonald. It was such a meaningful afternoon filled with learning, encouragement, connection, and community.

Together, we explored simple ways to support healthy aging through:
✔ Better nutrition
✔ Hydration
✔ Protein and fiber intake
✔ Everyday healthy habits that feel realistic and manageable

Most importantly, it was a beautiful reminder that healthy living becomes easier when we support and learn from one another.

We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to our amazing staff, volunteers, and everyone working behind the scenes who helped make this event possible.

Your kindness, dedication, and care created such a warm and welcoming experience for everyone who attended ❤️

We are truly thankful for this community and for the opportunity to continue growing together.

When your body feels “off”… sometimes it’s your digestion asking for support.

And often, the missing piece is fiber.

As we age, fiber plays an important role in helping the body feel balanced and comfortable.

✔ Supports healthy digestion
✔ Helps prevent constipation
✔ Supports heart health

Simple foods to include:
🍎 Fruits like apples and berries
🥦 Vegetables like broccoli and carrots
🌾 Whole grains like oats and brown rice
🫘 Beans and lentils

A gentle reminder:
• Start slow, add a little more each week
• Drink enough water as you increase

It doesn’t have to be a big change.
Even small additions can help your body feel better over time.

Because caring for your health isn’t about perfection… it’s about steady, simple steps.

If you’ve been wanting guidance that feels manageable and supportive, you’re not alone.

We’re here for you.

Sometimes, feeling tired or low on energy isn’t about doing too much… it’s simply about not drinking enough water 💧

As we age, staying hydrated becomes even more important for how we feel each day.

✔ Supports energy and reduces fatigue
✔ Helps with focus and mental clarity
✔ Aids digestion and overall comfort

Some signs your body may need more water:
• Dry mouth
• Headaches
• Feeling dizzy or tired

A simple goal:
Aim for 6–8 cups of water throughout the day.

Sometimes, small habits like this can make the biggest difference.

If you’ve been wanting to feel better and take care of your health in simple ways, you’re not alone.

We’re here to support you.

Healthy aging isn’t about doing everything perfectly… it’s about supporting your body in simple, meaningful ways ❤️

One of the most important things your body needs as you age?

Protein.

It helps you stay strong, steady, and supported every day.

✔ Maintains muscle and strength
✔ Supports your immune system
✔ Helps your body recover and heal

Sometimes, it’s as simple as adding:
🥚 Eggs
🍗 Chicken
🥣 Yogurt
🐟 Fish
🫘 Beans

Small changes, like including protein in each meal can make a real difference over time.

Because it’s not just about food… it’s about feeling stronger, more confident, and cared for.

If you’ve been wanting to make healthier choices but don’t know where to start, you’re not alone.

We’re here to help.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated.

Here’s a simple guide to building a balanced plate for your family, one that supports energy, focus, and overall well-being.

When meals include the right mix of grains, protein, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats, kids are more likely to stay full, think clearly, and have the energy they need to learn and grow.

It’s not about being perfect, it’s about making small, consistent choices that support your family’s health over time.

At Family Life Project, we’re here to make healthy living feel simple, practical, and doable for every family.
