Hello World. Just a quick update. Boxing. My new favorite form of cardio. Hitting that bag is very therapeutic. Because of my schedule I can only do it once or twice a week but boy do I look forward to it! Because of my job of a trainer/instructor, I haven't had to "join" a gym in a really long time. I actually joined, pay for a full membership and go to classes. I love it. I hope everyone is doing well. Live well, love hard and laugh often.

Hello beautiful people. I would say I'm back but, well, I'm really not. Just wanted to stop in to say I'm still here, taking things day by day. Still in the gym, still eating healthy and trying not to eat my way through every emotion. I don't know when I'll get back to regular posting but some of you have expressed concern for me and I just wanted you all to know I'm ok. Hope all you had a wonderful mother's day.

Fitness has helped me through every low point in my life for the last 18 years. To say I'm at a low point would be a true understatement. Losing my mother has rocked me to my very core. The darkness is real. But once again I'm able to use fitness as an outlet, a safe place. Its always my happy place but right now it's my safe place. I'm able to shut out everything else and just be in that place for at least a little while. I went back to teaching my classes this week. I really didn't want to. I'm not sure I've ever not wanted to teach a class because I love it, but this morning it took real strength to just get there. I'm happy I did. Once again fitness has proven to be my friend. Allowing me some time to not think about the pain, or ar least not focus on it. My mother was truly my best girlfriend in every sense of the word. Life is now forever changed without her. I'm not even sure the point of this post but thank you so much to everyone of you that has reached out to me in any way. I appreciate it more than you know.

. It's not what you think πŸ™‚. This is my son's favorite brand of ice cream. I buy him 1 of these every week. Many of you have asked about my overnight oats and what I make/store them in. This is my breakfast this morning. The container is a hard plastic and the top screws on. Perfect to store and to travel with. That's banana pumpkin oats with walnuts and almond butter. Mannnnn Listen! Those High Intensity sprint drills I did for cardio this morning seriously gave me life! I've often said that I'm not a runner because I'm not. I don't enjoy it but I love sprints. Highest sprint was ran at 8.0 on the treadmill today. For these short legs that is really fast but I handled it, like a boss! Feeling myself just a little bit but I'm totally cool with that! Soooooo I don't like avocado. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it if you do, its simply a personal preference, mainly due to my texture issues. That being said, it is the "it" food in healthy eating right now. That doesn't bother me, as it has many health benefits, but why do people feel the need to add it to everything?!? I'm no cook, but I'm an awesome recipe follower and seems like every new recipe these days has avocado in it! Smoothies, desserts, breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is everywhere! I'm over it. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Happy Saturday πŸ˜‚

Question for my fellow Fitbit users. The last 2 times I've gone grocery shopping, my watch doesn't count all my steps while pushing (holding onto) the cart πŸ€”. Anyone else notice something like this? Because that's a lot of uncounted steps!

I don't get on the Leg Press nearly as often as I used to. Some of you may remember my climb to press 400lbs. a while back. Well I'm not back there...yet, but I sat down this morning and pressed 300lbs for 3 sets of 10 soooooo I'm a pretty happy girl right now. Happy Hump Day!

So most of you know that I don't drink coffee, ever. BUT, sometimes I need a little energy boost just like anyone else. This is my go to. A caffeine pill. 200mg of pure caffeine. To be clear, I absolutely don't have one every day, maybe twice a week. During school it was my best friend though, got me through many late classes. Decided to share because I'm often asked how do I have so much energy and while this isn't the main source by any means, it definitely comes in handy at times. Headed to GNC now for a fresh bottle. Less than $10. And because I don't use it every day, those 100 tablets last a long time. Happy Tuesday!

I have worn a fitness watch for years. A watch to track my heart rate, and calories burned during my workouts. Way before everyone was wearing the different types of smartwatches, I was wearing a fitness watch. Well my last one broke a while back. While I was in school I didn't feel right spending over $100+ on a fitness watch. Well now that I'm done and working I decided to treat myself. I am now a member of the Fitbit family 😁. I have the Charge 3. So far I really like it! Anyone else a little a**l about getting those steps in or is that just me?!? So far I've exceeded my goal each day. This makes me happy. πŸ˜ŠπŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ‘ŠπŸ½.

I'm going meatless tomorrow for meatless Monday! Trying new things in the new year. Anyone with me? My family is absolutely not! Not a single person in my house is willing to go meatless with me for 1 day
