Rhythm in Recovery is reaching new places!

Because of the help of our volunteers and supporters, we were able to get Nick his own electric guitar and a cool peavy amp, all the way to Price, Utah!

Thank you to Brian for the amp, Lance for the guitar, and Craig for the transportation. There are even more people behind the scenes in this awesome community that make each instrument giveaway possible. Rock n Roll!! 💙🤘🥳

Neshia is one hell of a drummer! She grow up playing in her church bands and developed some serious chops. Like many of us, she faced some challenges in life that kept her from the sticks. She’s thriving now and we are happy to provide her an electronic drum kit of her very own. Keep an eye out for her in local church bands! 🤘💙

Our very own RJ Morningstar was able to be a recipient of Rhythm in Recovery for a change! RJ does so damn much for the recovery and music communities in Ogden, and beyond! We are pleased to be able to help him get a beautiful sounding acoustic electric guitar that he can play, and now sing with.

RJ has his hands in so many things, including teaching free guitar lessons, hosting group jams, giving people in recovery instruments, being a bad ass metal head, and a great friend. 🤘He is typically the one giving, not receiving, so this one is super special for us. A huge shout out and thank you to Brian Harris for making this one happen! This was a real team effort.

Keep an eye out for RJ playing his new guitar. He’s everywhere these days! 💙

Chase Clark has been on a heater lately!! Celebrating 18 months of recovery, completing legal issues and graduating programs. He’s also a champion sober bowling star! It’s been so cool to watch his journey from the beginning until today.

He said he always wanted to play the acoustic guitar and now is the time for him to learn. We are grateful for our donors to provide instruments that we are able to give to people like Chase, for free!

Braxton has been a musician his whole life. Now that he is in recovery, he is looking to learn more instruments and asked if we had a banjo. We sure did and we are happy it is going to someone as deserving as Braxton. Watch for him on social media singing and playing!

Caleb Gibson is a hell of a skateboarder, guitar player and entertainer! Catch him at the base of the Utah slopes, Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City and pretty much anywhere else there are groups of people. He’ll be there with a song and a joke, and always with a big smile.

Caleb has been playing music his whole life and traveling the country and playing over the last ten year. Substances have been kicking his ass lately and he decided he wanted to be clean and sober. He said the best part of being in recovery is that he can remember the places he’s been, the songs he wrote and most of all, the people he meets.

It’s just a little inexpensive guitar, generously donated to Rhythm in Recovery, but man was he happy! We also threw in a practice amp, a headphone amp and some headphones so he can practice on his electric guitar back in sober living. He put the shirt on right away!

Caleb is meant for big things and we are honored to be a small part of his story into recovery. It was a pleasure Caleb!
