Just be sure to be respectful of their time and express your views in a way that makes sense from their perspective, talking about how much it helps you rather than going into "Reiki energy," which risks your credibility (from their perspective).
Last year, a robust response from the diverse Massachusetts Reiki community halted (at least for now) that state's 5th attempt at licensing for Reiki and other non-invasive holistic practices. The Attorney General who spearheaded the effort is now the governor.
