River Oaks Community Church (Clemmons, NC) held an inaugural 5K & Fun Run on May 12, 2012. We determined that we would partner each year with a local non-profit ministry supporting individuals/families in crisis and utilizing resources to positively impact the Triad community. We desire to extend the love of Christ by offering an encouraging, uplifting, and “excellent” race experience. The target participants for our event are the elite (fast, flat, and course record incentives), the beginner (Run For God graduation race, straight and flat), families (childcare provided, pre-race dinner available, free photo downloads) and individuals (competitive awards and large volunteer team to answer questions and motivate all). In other words, a race for EVERYONE! The ROCC 5k Ministry Beneficiaries:

2024 - Pivot Ministry
2023 - The Winston-Salem Rescue Mission

The ROCC 5k runs along the main artery of Lewisville - Clemmons. Beginning at River Oaks Community Church on Northbound Lewisville-Clemmons Rd (LCR), runners pass WFHS and take a right on Southwest School Rd. A run behind WFHS (between the school and the football stadium) and a lap around the track, then back to LCR going Southbound. Runners then run to the entrance of Agape Faith Church, make a U-turn, and return to the River Oaks entrance finish line. Over 2 miles of the 3.1 route is on straight, and mostly flat, Lewisville-Clemmons Road. A map and an elevation chart can be found on the FB page. We hope you continue to keep the ROCC 5k on your spring running calendar and help us support these wonderful local ministries.
