During Transgender Awareness Week, and a few minutes before Transgender Day of Remembrance today 2022, a day to memorialize transgender victims of murder, a gunman killed five people at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Hateful violence against humanity persists, and LGBTQ people are four times more likely to experience violent crime against them than non-LGBTQ people, according to the UCLA school of law. In 2022 alone, 47 transgender people in the United States have been murdered, who have been thoughtfully commemorated by Magazine.

For moments like Transgender Day of Remembrance, focus on respecting others and finding kindness to share in your community. Celebrate the lives of loved ones we have lost and continue to live for them. Importantly, take your security into your own hands by practicing awareness, leading others, and self-defense or active shooter trainings.

Central Outreach Wellness Center Cleveland has officially received the vaccine, called JYNNEOS, from the Strategic National Stockpile.

We will vaccinate people who have been exposed or likely exposed to monkeypox first.

If you have a hook up that has monkeypox, or were at an event with close skin contact where someone had a case of monkeypox, please contact us or your local health department.

You must have a known exposure to qualify.
