SWAV’s First Lupus Awareness Call Was Powerful .Tonight we held our very first SWAV Lupus Awareness community call, and it was an incredible moment of connection, support, and shared strength.
Lupus warriors and supporters came together to talk about how seasonal weather changes affect our health and what we are doing to stay well.
The conversation reminded us that while lupus can be challenging, community makes the journey easier.
Thank you to everyone who joined, shared their experiences, and supported one another.
Together we will continue to raise awareness, empower warriors, and uplift our community.

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating strength, resilience, and the beauty of womanhood at the Gala for the Goddesses – Lupus Awareness Fashion Show Fundraiser.
This elegant Mother’s Day weekend celebration will bring together community, culture, creativity, and inspiration for a powerful night of purpose and entertainment.
Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner service followed by a stunning “Styles of Imagination” Fashion Show, highlighting beauty, creativity, and individuality through fashion while raising awareness for lupus and supporting families impacted by the disease.
The evening will also feature a special live performance by award-winning violinist virtuoso Humble G tha Fiddla, whose powerful musical artistry will bring an unforgettable energy to the celebration. The atmosphere will continue with music and entertainment provided by DJ Romero 216, keeping the evening vibrant and uplifting.
Presented by Superior Renaissance CDC, in partnership with Stepping With A Vision (SWAV) Lupus Nonprofit Organization, this special event will also mark the launch of a new scholarship fund designed to support and empower mothers and families through education, opportunity, and community support.
This extraordinary evening is designed as an experience of “edutainment” — combining entertainment with meaningful purpose — as we honor and recognize the heroic role women play in our homes, communities, and society.
As we celebrate Mother’s Day weekend, we extend our deepest gratitude to women everywhere for their love, sacrifice, leadership, and strength. Their dedication to nurturing families and building stronger communities deserves recognition and celebration.
