🤲Is skin care for vanity or health?🤲
Why does Shaklee have so many new skin care products?
Great question, right? Well, as the body's largest organ, skin is our barrier against increasing environmental hazards like UV radiation, pollutants, and micro-organisms. Healthy skin ensures that body temperature regulators work effectively through sweat and blood flow. Proper skin care helps skins' numerous nerve endings provide the sense of touch, temperature, and warning pain.
So we want a moisturized, healthy, and resilient barrier free of dryness, cracking, and inflammation to prevent damage from skin cancer and infections. Clean and moisturized skin heals faster and is least likely to develop infections so we can better manage various skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. These conditions, if left untreated, can lead to discomfort, pain, and sometimes severe health complications. All over skin care routines help us pay attention to our skin.
Skin conditions like acne or eczema can affect a person's mental health, too, leading to anxiety, depression, and social withdrawal. That's why regular skin care routines can be healthy self-care as we manage stress and promote relaxation that contributes to mental well-being. Those are all definitely health issues.
Yes, skin care IS health care...
So here’s to a healthy summer inside and outside our bodies!
Remember I'm here to be of help... Thanks! Diana
