🧠💃 Your brain loves music and movement!

Dancing to music isn’t just fun—it’s a full-on brain workout. The rhythm boosts memory, the movement sparks new neural connections, and the joy floods your brain with feel-good chemicals. Whether you’re learning new steps or grooving to a favorite song, you’re strengthening both your body and your mind.

With Active For Life’s proprietary programs, you can enjoy these benefits whether you join an energizing class or move at your own pace in the privacy of your home with our home-use products (link below).

✨ Move. Groove. Boost your brain.

It was an honor and a pleasure to be invited by Professor Rob Kollins to guest lecture at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Management, alongside Stacey Schroeder, President & Founder of EVelop.

We spoke about manufacturing design and the journey of bringing a new product to market, allowing me to discuss Active For Life’s patented products (throwback to the picture) and proprietary programs as a case study.

Rob is not only an engaging professor—his students were equally impressive, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine curiosity about all aspects of product design.

Many thanks to Stacey, Rob, and his enthusiastic class for such a rewarding and energizing experience!

This last week of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month has us reflecting on all of the beautiful moments we’ve had over the years working with those living with Alzheimer’s or different dementias, their caretakers and family, Activities and Life Enrichment Directors, and communities 💜
In case you haven’t seen it, here is one of our favorite videos at a memory care facility (link below), The Power of Healing: How a dance class is helping memory care residents, that warms our hearts every time we watch it. https://youtu.be/EZakczMBIy4?si=IWYZJW2L5WacmSe9

Did you know that worldwide 55 million people are living with Alzheimer's and other dementias, and Alzheimer's begins 20 years or more before memory loss and other symptoms develop? Did you also know that dancing is one of the best activities for dementia prevention? While we love that our dancercise programs are great for prevention, we also love the positive impact our programs have for those currently living with Alzheimer's or other dementias. To see a resident's face light up, smile, laugh, have increased engagement and participation, or have a song spark a memory is rewarding beyond measure 💜

Active For Life!

Active For Life provides onsite wellness and fitness programs in, but not limited to, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Short & Long Term Care facilities for aging adults, special populations, and those living with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s Disease. Our classes and programs are designed to simultaneously exercise both brain and body. Our goal is to not only implement brain and body exercises, but to connect and engage with our participants. We believe compassion and connection is a vital ingredient in what we do. Some of our most popular programs implement elements of music and dance therapy into adapted exercises so EVERYONE can participate, have fun, all while achieving cognitive and physical fitness!
