Had a great day at the Breakthrough T1D Summit! 💙 It was such an awesome experience. Being a Youth Ambassador has been great so far and I cannot wait to see the people that I have met at future BT1D events like the Walk in the fall. 👟The Summit was a great way to talk to new people, especially at the Youth Ambassador table when people stopped by! It was also so great to see some of my role models Anna, Sid and Neil, again! 🎉Neil- your keynote was amazing…the T1D community really is in all of this together and hearing you talk about your experience with that was fantastic. 😊 Thank you! 💙✨As the year comes to a close, many families are thinking about where to make meaningful, tax-deductible contributions. Isa is 15 and a triplet. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just before her second birthday, a moment that changed her family’s world. Life went from navigating toddlerhood times three to managing a complex disease that touches every hour of their lives.

For Isa, T1D brings both highs and lows. She feels them every day—constant calculations, questions from classmates, and moments when fun pauses for blood sugar checks or device adjustments. Yet she finds strength in her community: summer camps, friendships with other teens who understand, and the love of her family. Her sister Mia even jumps in when strangers ask about Isa’s devices, answering with her signature sass: “It’s for her medicine!”

Hi! This is Isa and I am officially going to be managing this account with my parents! What a great end of year Youth Ambassador celebration with It was a great event, we reflected on the year as Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassadors, made cards for newly diagnosed kids and decorated cookies! Thank you to everyone who has helped support this year, especially through my walk team!! I was also awarded the “Most Supportive Peer” award! I can’t wait to be an ambassador next year!
