Do you buy a small can of tomato paste and use 1 Tbsp and throw the rest out?

Instead of throwing it out, make 1 tbsp. scoops on parchment paper and freeze them. Once frozen, place in a labeled bag and place back in the freezer.

When you need one just grab one out of the bag and throw it in the sauces or chili.

I realize this is a very minor $$ save but every $$ helps these days.

Lets talk simple swaps.

Last night we wanted chicken parm but I really didnt want all if the pasta. So I made the pasta but I made a simple swap for me of spaghetti squash. Same meal for both of us except mine was more veggie loaded.

I am also having a small side salad everyday this week to help my increase if veggies.

Before my mom's disease really started progress at a more rapid pace, I was doing yoga a few times a week. From 10 minutes to an hour I was making the additional time for me at night and on Sundays.

Sundays were my active recovery days. It was my longest yoga session and longer walk days.

I promised myself that this year I would get back to feeling like me again.

So for the first time this year, I did a full 30 minutes of yoga. It was a rude awaking...lol but felt so good.

πŸ₯„ 1️⃣ Vanilla Mocha Crunch Protein Dessert

Ingredients:

Sugar-free vanilla pudding mix

Plain or vanilla Greek yogurt

Instant coffee (Β½ tsp)

Chocolate chips (optional)

Method:
Mix pudding + yogurt + coffee until smooth. Top with chocolate chips. Chill 20–30 mins.

Macros (approx):
Calories: ~190
Protein: ~22g

πŸ“ 2️⃣ Berry Cheesecake Protein Dessert

Ingredients:

Sugar-free cheesecake or vanilla pudding mix

Greek yogurt

Frozen mixed berries (chopped)

Method:
Stir pudding + yogurt. Fold in berries. Chill and enjoy.

Macros (approx):
Calories: ~200
Protein: ~20g

Sugar-free cookie or vanilla pudding mix

Peanut butter powder or drizzle

I know 6:30 am is not for everyone but I guarantee after about 2 weeks of working out at that time, you will realize just how amazing it is. How much better you feel throughout the day, the better choices you make and the better sleep you get.

So join me tomorrow for Rhythm Ride at the PCC Fitness Center. Class is 6:30 - 7 am. I promise you we are done an off the bikes at 7am. The class is geared towards everyone since I put you in the drivers seat.
