➡September 5 was declared the “International Day of Charity” by the United Nations in 2012 to promote acts of charity and volunteerism while also commemorating the death of Mother Teresa, who was known for her significant contributions and work in helping to overcome poverty and distress on a global scale.

The program offers free material goods, support, education classes and connections to community referrals, but maybe most importantly, a listening ear and the ability to feel seen as an irreplaceable part of their child's life.

“Rainbow baby” is the name coined for a baby born or adopted into a family that has previously experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or other type of neonatal loss of a child, signifying the rainbow that appears after a storm, or devastating time.

A rainbow baby does not erase the grief from a loss, but helps to fill in the missing pieces with hope, gratitude, and the joy that God can bring from sorrow.

We can rely on God’s promise that “His new mercies are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:22-23.)
