PRAYER FOR AN ELECTION
Lord God, as the election approaches, we seek to better understand the issues and concerns that confront our city/state/country, and how the Gospel compels us to respond as faithful citizens in our community. We ask for eyes that are free from blindness so that we might see each other as brothers and sisters, one and equal in dignity, especially those who are victims of abuse and violence, deceit and poverty. We ask for ears that will hear the cries of children unborn and those abandoned, men and women oppressed because of race or creed, religion or gender. We ask for minds and hearts that are open to hearing the voice of leaders who will bring us closer to your kingdom.
We pray for discernment so that we may choose leaders who hear your Word, live your love, and keep in the ways of your truth as they follow in the steps of Jesus and his apostles and guide us to your kingdom of justice and peace. We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

No matter what you think of Trump, you must listen to the myriad of attorneys, attorney generals, judges and law professors who explain all the corruption of the New York trial. If this could happen to a billionaire and former president it could happen to you. We must take back our country! Even Hollywood stars are beginning to see the weaponization of the judicial system to go after a political opponent. If you want our country to remain a democracy we must put the democrats out of office! They have way too much power! Consider all that Obama and Clinton did but no legal cases against them! This is so unjust and rooted in hated and evil for a “non politician”, who only wants a prosperous, moral country. Please vote early for Trump! Your children and grandchildren deserve the country we grew up in! It’s not too late to turn this country around into “one nation under God”!

I wish we all could decide for ourselves where our tax money goes. I don’t want my hard earned money going for abortions here or overseas, illegal migrants food or shelter, college tuition, alcohol or drugs for addicts, educational and healthcare costs for illegals, cell phones or transportation for illegals, etc etc. I’d rather my money provide homes, healthcare and educational opportunities for veterans, parenting courses for low income families or single parents, therapy and treatment for addicts who want the help, institutions or group homes with 24/7 care for those with severe mental health problems, homes or apartments for the homeless who want a better life and services for the numerous children in foster care - mental health therapy, opportunities to learn how to create a good life, etc etc. are you with me?

Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambigua loss".
I don't wish dementia on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today.
