Value is relative... We all have unique gifts to offer. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you! ***. On my travels to Barcelona, I found a quiet spot at the Font de Neptú (King Neptune Fountain), waiting for restaurants to reopen for the evening. *** As I looked around, I noticed a man playing with his dog in the large courtyard. I didn't think anything about it until I heard a THUD right in front of me, presenting a very used, misshapen, air-free soccer ball. *** At first glance, this ball was toast... no longer useful for games... no longer valuable. *** As the doggo happily approached, I could see that this ball was perfect... For him!! No longer bouncy, the ball could be tossed higher/farther while still maintaining control and proximity. No longer spherical, the "ball" could be easily grabbed and carried back to be thrown again. *** As I listened to the alternation of THUD and the pair's playfulness, I was reminded that value really is relative... And, as the soccer splat proved, it literally takes all shapes...
