If you put your lesson horse away in a dirty stall your next lesson was cleaning all the stalls.

Hoofs were sanded and painted or polished before ALL shows even low level classes

You break at the wrist you earned a ruler in the gloves

You lost your posture, a yardstick went down your shirt into your belt

No water breaks until your horse was untacked, brushed down and cooled off. If you were lucky you could hose off your horse and get a drink from the hose at the same time.

Slippery butt = next lesson was on a barrel suspended like a hammock on a tree. Better figure out how to balance or you’re going to have dirt in your hair.

The perfect time to deal with lameness is before your horse shows any lameness. Keeping muscles soft and relaxed is the best way to prevent injury.

Spring is when we all start getting our horses conditioned. Now is also the perfect time for body work.

Hauled my trailer home yesterday to do some spring cleaning and repairs.

A neighbor stopped on her dog walk and started asking about it and me.

Neighbor: do you have horses
Me: 👀 Yep 2
Neighbor: Do you ride horses
Me: not much. I mostly fix horses other people hurt while riding or training.
Neighbor: swiftly walks away

Sorry didn’t mean to say the wrong thing, Shiloh would probably be offended too. Since there is no fixing him. But he really does appreciate my work anyway.

Once you start seeing it you will never be blind to it again it is a blessing and a curse to be 100% honest but if you spend some time becoming framilliar with the 24 behaviors you will be better able to advocate for you horse.

My lil boy’s hoof is not feeling so happy so he is getting some extra luvin this week. Hopefully he will be better by next week when I head to CA Jennifer Wilkerson
