How do we improve care for our families?

We come together and build relationships with like-minded people across different fields that run alongside our own. We share ideas, we brainstorm solutions, and we learn from one another’s experiences. We speak up and spread knowledge to anyone willing to listen, knowing that awareness is the first step toward change.
We take time to evaluate ourselves from within, our strengths, our gaps, and where we can grow. We stay open, we stay humble, and we remain committed to doing better, even when it is difficult. We never stop trying, because the well being of our families is worth that persistence.
We support one another, recognizing that no single person or profession has all the answers. True progress happens when we work together, combining our skills and perspectives to create something stronger than we could alone.
Change does not happen overnight. It takes time, patience, and consistency. But like waves in a storm, we grow stronger with every push forward. And when we finally reach the shore, it is not just strength we have built, it is resilience, unity, and a foundation for lasting care.

Happy World Doula Day 🤍
Today I’m celebrating every doula who walks alongside families through some of life’s most powerful moments.
But I’m especially celebrating these incredible women right here. I’m so grateful the universe brought us together. We don’t just support each other in our work we show up for each other in life, too.
Just last week, I called Danielle to pull me out of a funk, Cheryl for parenting advice, and Sam to bring her daughter over so our kids could play while we sat on the couch, completely exhausted, just existing together.
Life has its ups and downs, but having a circle of supportive women makes those hard moments so much easier to carry.
I may not be able to hire you as my birth doulas, but I’m endlessly grateful to have you as my life doulas 🤍
