Join Kim for a 90 minute workshop where you will learn the 3 things that every upside skill needs for you to get results. You will learn the 3 steps and how to put them into practice in common arm balances and inversions with progressive steps to include variations for your skill level. You will also be instructed for optimal success for your body type (longer or shorter torso, hypermobile elbows, bendy or tight hammies, etc) Whether you are just beginning or flying high, you will receive personalized steps to enter, hold, and exit your posture!
We will explore your posture of choice as well as common and not so common postures. Every upside-down posture workshop is a little different as each workshop is personalized and customized to the group that is practicing.
You will learn:
The 3 things every hand balancing posture needs for success
How to take the variables out of every hand balance
Transitions in and out. Exit strategy.
Progressive steps for your skill level including modifications, props, and uplevels
Optimal breathing for your entrance and for ease and strength while holding and exiting the posture
Optimal core engagement
How to incorporate arm balances and inversions into your home or studio practice
Tips & tricks I have learned over the decades to make transitions fun and easy
Whether you are a yogi, gymnast, dancer, weightlifter or have never been upside down, you will learn how to incorporate arm balance and inversions into your physical practice and enjoy how they keep you present, build strength, increase focus, and allow you to enjoy the journey of something new!
